Writing her book “Body Confidence” was another dream come true for Astrid. In this inspirational book she shows how feeling wonderful about your body and yourself will have positive effects on all aspects of your life.

GMTV
Astrid formulated and presented “Wake up with Astrid’s weekday workouts”, as part of the morning programme with Eammon Holmes, Fiona Phillips and Lorraine Kelly. She presented live from the studio and also on location in Spain and Florida. The workouts always aimed at encouraging people from every walk of life to get exercising. It was with this in mind that Astrid taught the English National Ballet a funky version of “The Nutcracker” and got down on her hands and knees scrubbing floors with the children from the cast of “Annie”. Even the clowns from the show Cirque Du Soleil had to pitch in and workout with Astrid!

ABC Fitness Video
Astrid devised and presented her ABC (Any Body Can) fitness workout, which went to number 4 in the fitness charts.

BBC Spectacular – Weight of the nation 1&2 with Dale Winton
Astrid presented her own motivational fitness segment in this highly successful TV show encouraging people everywhere to be the best they can be!
Fitness & Body Image expert on the BBC series – Fighting Fit with Eastenders
Astrid devised motivational mind/body coaching programmes for Wendy Richards, Shaun Williamson, Adam Woodyatt and Tamzin Outhwaite, showing them how to achieve their own personal best!

Plus size Model – Hughes Model Agency
Astrid worked as a plus size model for magazines such as Prima, Best, She, Woman and Woman’s Weekly, family Circle, Essentials, Bella, Good Housekeeping and many more. She also modeled for TV programmes such as The Clothes Show and This Morning. Along with this Astrid was also a catwalk model for Harrods, Dickins & Jones and Selfridges in their in house fashion shows. Marks & Spencer and Evans also used Astrid for their in store show cards and plus size promotions.

Fitness Editor of “YES” magazine
Astrid wrote and devised motivational mind/body programmes for “Yes” magazine – a bi – monthly for the plus size.
Synergetic Consulting
Astrid organized and implemented positive Life Wellness programmes for Blue Chip Companies such as Esso, Oracle, and Ferranti and Dell computers. She also presented at the Sunday Mirror “fit n fun” events, the KFA and was a lecturer and presenter on the Doctor’s referral programme scheme in conjunction with the NHS and The Sports Council. Astrid also trained the teachers of tomorrow on the Shape RSA training course specializing in safe, correct and exciting choreography. She was also Head of Dance at one of the finest schools in the UK - St. Mary’s Convent school in Ascot where she motivated the young people to get fit and learn new skills in dance related subjects e.g. Ballet, Tap and Street Dance.

Astrid was awarded the Crystal Heart Award for pioneering services to the fitness industry in mind/body fitness and positive body image.
Motivational Speaker
Astrid has been called upon to speak at various events such as the “Sunday Express” Big day out seminar in conjunction with Hughes model agency. The annual Nurses Conference in Surrey, as well as the body care show at the ideal homes exhibition at Earls Court.

Expert Guest/Consultant on TV shows
Astrid has been a guest on the popular “This Morning” show, Kilroy Chat show, Capital Woman (with Anneka Rice) and also on the popular Kelly show on UTV. She was also featured on Channel 4’s Dispatches programme (The Dieting Myth) and presented a five part fitness series for UK Living on SKY. Prior to this she filmed “The secret lives of women” for the BBC magazine programme Anne and Nick. (With Anne Diamond).
